Getting caught up! Romantic Kauai Trip

For our 11th anniversary, my wonderful mom stayed with our kids and we headed over to Kauai for 2 days. It was way to fast, but we got in a round of golf, a helicopter ride and some much needed "us" time. Hopefully we can do this once more before we leave the island. Next stop, Lanai!

AF Ball 2011

Can't tell how many glasses of wine I have had, but this AF BAll was one of the best I have ever been to! They paid a tribute to all of the AF past men and women, and then dedicated the evening to a Hawaii AF vet who had both legs and an arm blown off in Afghanistan. He was also the first AF amputee to be able to walk on prosthetics. It was an amazing story and he and his wife were there to celebrate! Then our guest speaker was 3 time Cowboys Superbowl Champ Chad Henning. What an amazing Christian man who is teaching men how to be honorable and to be leaders in their families. It was a great start to our 2 weeks with my parents, as they help watch the kids while Randy and I jet off to another island for a romantic weekend away!

Surfs Up

Now that I am finally physically able to surf (not preggers or nursing) we decided to go surfing!!! How could we possibly live in Hawaii and NOT surf?! So we took our quick 3 minute lesson (no kidding, the safety brief was on how to fall off the board so the coral wouldn't get our feet) and hopped in the water. It was rough, but so much fun. I took to it like a fish to water and so did Eli. Ella played it safe and rode the waves in while sitting, but she finally got up. Eli acted like he has been surfing for years and even rode a wave all the way onto the beach and hit the sand and flew off his board. It was so much fun and now I think Randy will even try it! It is probably the most exciting sport I have ever tried!!!

Hickam Beach, going away

Well, our last great neighbors, the Foxworths, moved away, so we spent the day at Hickam Beach for their going away party. We have been so blessed to meet such wonderful people. I know that we would have never met so many friends, if it weren't for the military! And as our new neighbors move in, I realize that we are once again going to have another set of great neighbors to build friendships with. Aloha!

Emmy turned 4!

My pictures are out of order and I can't figure out how to move them! Ha, well about a month ago, Emersyn Elizabeth Bosch turned 4. I am so amazed at how time is flying by. We let her chose a restaurant and friends that she wanted to bring. She chose ChuckECheese's and only one friend, Hannah. Her BFF Kendall recently moved and she really misses her, so she picked Hannah to go instead (since Kendall is in Washington, now). She had so much fun and I think small birthdays are so much more meaningful! Here's to another wild year with you, Emmy!
