Everett started crawling

When Everett was ready to turn 6 months, I began to freak out because the kids couldn't sit....so we practiced everyday til his 6 month appointment! Now, he won't stop hitting milestones and you know how hard that is for a mommy that knows this is her last baby :( But, he is crawling, teething, playing peekaboo and now pulling himself up to a standing position. I really wish he would slow down because I haven't baby proofed yet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWFn33oj458

Emmy sings the National Anthem and her state capitals

So, I figured out how to get videos uploaded quicker.....youtube. I know, I know, but I take whatever comes the quickest sometimes.

So, upon teaching Ella and Eli American fact, songs and capital, Emmy has learned the Star Spangled Banner and about 11 states and their capitals. Oh, she is a sponge. That means mommy and daddy have to watch what they say 24 hours a day!

Notice her cocky attitude while saying some of the capitals, she cracks us up!

Cousins and Ko'Olina

Staying at Ko'Olina with the Tillers was awesome! It was a nice little stay-cation and the kids loved seeing their cousins so much (so did Randy and I). We played at the beach and the pool and I burnt my skin to a crisp. Overall, it was the best stay-cation we have taken!!!

Who really is Emmy?

So I went thrift shopping, for the second time and I AM ADDICTED. As we were walking through the isles, I spotted this Super Girl costume and Emmy hasn't stopped wearing it since. I must admit, I hated thrift shopping, but now I can't believe I can find brand new clothes for under 5 dollars!!!

Emmy also wanted to show everyone how well she "matches" Cinderella! What a doll!!!

Emmy's discovery

So I am now sure that homeschooling brings out qualities in kids that get stifled in a classroom setting. When kids are told what to draw, what to write, what to read and how to do things, they just can't get creative. So I am pretty free with Emmy's learning environment and it shows on a daily basis. She studies things that you or I would just walk over. She looks at the world as a huge classroom and I am sure she will make a huge impact on the world one day. So as the older kids were working on Math, I see Emmy squatting and staring at the grass. This is normal since she gathers all sorts of bugs during the day and collects them (yeah, even Cockroaches!). So Eli decided to go and check on her and what she showed us was amazing. For over a year we have been in Hawaii and never seen Sleeping Grass. Only Emmy would reach down and pet a leaf to see if it would do anything!
I have a video of Emmy touching the grass and it folding up, but the file is too large and I don't know how to edit it!!!

This is part of Eli's pumpkin Patch. Somehow he planted a few seeds after we gutted some pumpkins in October. I will post pics later of how big this pumpkin patch is!

Wild February!

Emmy started helping out with chores!!!
I started sewing bibs, nursing covers and slings.....What a cute model. Everett even started eating some baby food. His favorite is carrots!

Ella qualified for the Junior Age Group Championships! She didn't win, but she is sure getting faster!

Everett learned how to sit and scoot. We are really working on how to crawl. I am sure in a month or so, he will be walking!!!

And Eli lost his second top toof. He waited forEVER for those to come out, and now they won't grow back!!!
