Who really is Emmy?

So I went thrift shopping, for the second time and I AM ADDICTED. As we were walking through the isles, I spotted this Super Girl costume and Emmy hasn't stopped wearing it since. I must admit, I hated thrift shopping, but now I can't believe I can find brand new clothes for under 5 dollars!!!

Emmy also wanted to show everyone how well she "matches" Cinderella! What a doll!!!

Emmy's discovery

So I am now sure that homeschooling brings out qualities in kids that get stifled in a classroom setting. When kids are told what to draw, what to write, what to read and how to do things, they just can't get creative. So I am pretty free with Emmy's learning environment and it shows on a daily basis. She studies things that you or I would just walk over. She looks at the world as a huge classroom and I am sure she will make a huge impact on the world one day. So as the older kids were working on Math, I see Emmy squatting and staring at the grass. This is normal since she gathers all sorts of bugs during the day and collects them (yeah, even Cockroaches!). So Eli decided to go and check on her and what she showed us was amazing. For over a year we have been in Hawaii and never seen Sleeping Grass. Only Emmy would reach down and pet a leaf to see if it would do anything!
I have a video of Emmy touching the grass and it folding up, but the file is too large and I don't know how to edit it!!!

This is part of Eli's pumpkin Patch. Somehow he planted a few seeds after we gutted some pumpkins in October. I will post pics later of how big this pumpkin patch is!

Wild February!

Emmy started helping out with chores!!!
I started sewing bibs, nursing covers and slings.....What a cute model. Everett even started eating some baby food. His favorite is carrots!

Ella qualified for the Junior Age Group Championships! She didn't win, but she is sure getting faster!

Everett learned how to sit and scoot. We are really working on how to crawl. I am sure in a month or so, he will be walking!!!

And Eli lost his second top toof. He waited forEVER for those to come out, and now they won't grow back!!!

Eli turns 7

Eli wanted to mini-putt for his birthday, but we waited too long to reserve a room, so we had it at our humble abode. We killed a pinata, did a three legged race and played the water balloon game, which ended up ending quite quickly. Overall, Eli was so pleased with his party and extremely excited to be 7!

January and February

We have been practicing for a month now to get Everett sitting by his 6 month appointment. He finally succeeded and just in time. I think it took a little longer than the others because he is either constantly being held or his big head would pull him over :) Emmy is, of course, complete cuteness in her dance outfit with cowboy boots! And Eli finally lost a top tooth, and currently loosing the other as we speak. Everett's stats were 21.3 lbs, 28 inches long and 45cm head!! What a man!!!

Drew Brees and Eli's first professional football game made for one HAPPY little Boy!!! No autographs, but Eli and Randy still had an awesome time! Next year, we are stalking the players out at Ko'lina!!!

Ms. Ella turns 10

Even though Ella turned 10 on January 19th, we decided that we would plan a really "adult" like party for her and her girlfriends. We went to the Wai'oli tea room, which serves "High Tea". The girls were given their own tea pots and allowed to choose their own tea leaves. I was so impressed with how the girls conducted themselves. They dressed in their very best dresses and looked gorgeous! This, of course, was smack dab in the middle of our weekend of craziness. We were displaced downtown because our house was being tented for termites and we had to try to bring that beautiful birthday cake that Ella and I made together. The Bell men were so nice, they refrigerated our cake for us! And Sunday was the Pro-Bowl, which is another post in itself. All in all, our paid weekend vacation was crazy, but it turned out perfect!
Next year, Randy informed us we CAN NOT have a party without him!!!

Oh yes, Emersyn had to accompany her big sister, because what would a party be without Emersyn?!
